Links widget – how often does the "random" selection update

How often does the random selection in the links widget change? It is certainly not each time I view the page.

Thanks. My blogroll was getting so long that I set it to “random” with a limit of 10 links. I have a text widget underneath saying “this is a random selection and it will change every so often” but it would be nice to be more specific

The links widget is one of our older features and not heavily used. As such, I’m not finding any documentation on how often it’s supposed to rotate the display of random links.
I’d keep an eye on it for a few days and if it isn’t rotating at all, please let me know, and I’ll look into it for you.

This must be new because at one time, the links updated on each refresh. Thank you for bringing this to Staff attention.
Those of us who use the random option in the Links widget may be few in number, but the previously suggested alternate of using a Custom Menu in a widget is not a viable alternative as there is no “random” option there.
