links widget – sort by most recent posts
-
Hello,
I’m trying to figure out how to get my links to sort based on the most recent updates, similar to the blogroll at blogger. It looks like it can sort by ID, rating, and name, but not ‘most recent post.’ Is there any way to do this?
Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi! Sorting by link ID will get you close to sorting by most recent. IDs are created in the order that links are added to your blog so it’ll list them in chronological order from when you created them.
You can find full details of the links widget at:

I’m sorry – I don’t want to sort by the most recent links I’ve added, but by when that particular blog was last updated.
For example:
Blog A updated/added a post on Monday at 5pm
Blog B updated/added a post on Tuesday at 9am
Blog C updated/added a post on Monday at 1pmIf I have links to those 3 blogs, I’d like Blog B to show up at the top of the list because it has the most recent update, then Blog A, then Blog C. Then, whoever posts something next would move to the top of the list. It looks like the RSS feed widget might work, but it only allows you to have one link/blog there.

Ah, gotcha. Sorry for the misunderstanding above, read too quickly. :)
The links widget won’t let you sort by which blog has the most recent post published on it.

You could keep your blogroll really small and add an RSS widget for each blog on it. That’d show the clickable titles of each of their most recent posts.
