Links won't open – get yellow/red exclamation point icon

  Link to other pages in my wordpress site and to external locations worked fine for over a year, but all the sudden within the last couple weeks, they seem to all have died. Now when I click a link, I get a small red exclamation point in a yellow explosion banner. I can right click and select Open or Open in New Tab and it works fine. But cannot use the link directly anymore. Any idea what happened? HELP!

  Is there a specific post that you can link to where this is happening to you? Is it happening only on WordPress.com or also on other sites you visit? What browser are you using?

  FWIW-I’m not encountering any such banners when I click on random links in your posts. This makes me think that you either have adware or malware installed in your browser.

  Thanks for posting so fast! Looks like I found the problem — it was simply an alert that pop ups were blocked by the Google toolbar. I enabled pop ups and the problem went away.
