List category as pages or posts

  Hi
  Maybe its only me who wants this plugin but I think, many of us was looking out for such a feature.

  To show your categories on a page with a text that category is about and then backlinking for the posts.

  it would be cool to have this.

  You can do this without a plugin: Create a new page under Pages ->Add New. Write whatever description of the category you want to display. Under the description insert the Display Posts shortcode to display posts from that category. You can also customize the shortcode to display an excerpt of each post if you want. http://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/

  Glad I could help. Please note that when you insert the category name into the shortcode, use the category slug, not the actual name of the category as it displays on your blog. You can find the category slug under Posts ->Categories in your dashboard.
