List not aligning properly
-
Hi all,
I need your support as a newbie for a really annoying issue. I am using the WP Mac app, but also the browser based (Firefox) version and for some reason the list items (block editor) are shifted outside the left text boundary. This is probably due to some configuration I have messed up with, but I cannot find what this could be. In the following image, the top part is created using the block editor, while the bottom part is using the classic one. It’s clear that the list option in the block editor is shifting things outside, compared to the classic one that behaves as expected.
Thanks in advance for your assistance

I would suggest to start by converting the Classic Block to a List Block – https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/switching-from-the-classic-to-the-block-editor/#convert-classic-content-to-blocks

Converting from classic to list block causes the same rendering issue. The bullets are shifted outside the left vertical boundary of the text. I followed your instructions and this is how the text looks now. Not sure if this rendering is “correct” from a UX perspective, but from an aesthetic perspective I prefer the bullets to be inside the text boundary.

What is the URL of your site? What theme are you using as some themes show this behaviour?

The URL where I experiment is: https://agileandmore.wordpress.com/2023/10/27/facilitation-techniques-part-ii/
As for the theme, I am currently using the Twenty Sixteen from WordPress

So, it turns out that this issue is due to the theme I am using. Not sure why, since the aesthetics are not great.
Marking this issue resolved now
