  What is the way to find out the list of all recent posts? Say I want to analyze the topics of all the posts created within the last hour, how to find the list of blogs? There must be some xml file somewhere or a simple text file listing the recent changes?

  you can view the latest posts on wp.com in your dashboard, bottom right side. maybe you can collect your data from there? if that is too tedious, you have to contact support directly for your query, as they do not always monitor threads in the forums.
