List of blog posts on sidebar or in a drop down menu

    Hi, can you please advise how I go about setting up my blog so that the home page has an introductory message and to put a drop down list or menu to select a single post. I am using the Twenty Seventeen Template and have a menu at the top. But if you scroll down the page, all of the posts are listed one after another. I really just want the post ‘the journey so far’ on the home page and then links/dropdown list/menu to then select individual posts. My blog is australiantraildogs.wordpress.com

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, So I have figured how to make a static home page. But I’m thinking that I need to change my template to one that has a side bar?
