List of my wordpress.com sites not showing when I click the "My sites" button

Thanks for that – that helps! I’m not able to replicate the problem in Android 12/Latest Chrome (Pixel 5) when viewing your sites in landscape mode.

What version of Android are you using? If it’s the latest, are you able to use the WordPress app instead of the browser?

    Hi again!

I am using 8.1.7, as my device type doesn’t support the latest android update.

  • That’s a fairly old OS (originally released in 2017) so that may be causing some issues here, and in these cases, there is not much we can do since there is a limit to how much backward compatibility we are able to retain with older devices like that.

Out of curiosity if you visit this link (as a workaround) does it allow you to switch sites?

Curious- @storygenie5 I see the “Switch Site” link at the top of the dashboard sidebar on the left in your screenshot. What happens when you click it?

You should then see what staff-doublebassd shared in his screenshot. If you don’t, can you share another screenshot of what you do see? Thanks.

FWIW I’m running Android 7 on my antique Asus Zenpad tablet (P027) with Chrome 103 and am able to access the Switch Site screen and switch between my visible sites.

Awhen I click my sites, nothing appears underneath it, and the page just aappears as it was before.

Thanks for confirming. It’s looking more and more like your device may be too old to use modern versions of WordPress, and we have no way to get around that here. 😞

There are constant updates to the WordPress software and WordPress.com as a whole. There are also continual updates to the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP coding languages used to create WordPress.com and many other websites. And it is more likely that it was an update to one of these that caused this to break.

I wish I had a better answer for you. Let us know if you have any questions or need help with anything else.

Hello again, it’s the “Switch Site” link you need to click, not “My Sites”.

    Temporary Screenshots

Regardless, it may very well be that your device is too old. If so, the link that staff-totoro suggested as a workaround is your best solution. Cheers.

    Hi again, @justjennifer.

I can’t locate a switch site button, however, I do see an admin dashboard link.

  • Unknown's avatar

@storygenie5: it isn’t a “button” – it’s a link shown here (using the screenshot you provided):

That is what @justjennifer wanted you to click.

    Hi again.

Thank you for the clarification, I was unsure if the admin dashboard link was the one I needed or not. Thank you for your help.
