list of users

  why are readers not listed as users?
  several folks have accepted my invitation to this private blog site, and yet none are listed under Users. strange. it would be great if they did. please advise.

  Hi there,

  The readers who have previously elected to follow your site are entirely different from those who have permission to view it when it is set to private. You can revoke those permissions while those who have elected to follow your site do not have that controls in place.

  Thank you! This is a new site that has been private from the start. So should the ones who accept my sent invitations to be a viewer appear im my users list? M

  Hi there,

  No, they will always just appear in your Settings >> Reading section where a list is displayed of your invited readers.

  Thank you! I guess I’m new and don’t get all the differences between types. This private site is for posting health professional training materials, and to allow folks to comment on the material. Is reader the correct user type, or one of the other ones that would appear in the User list? Thanks again. M

  Adding Viewers to a Private Blog

  If you want others to be able to view your private blog (and add comments, if you’ve enabled them) you’ll need to invite them to be a viewer.
