list view of blog posts block

I cannot get the blog posts block into list view. I click on the list view icon, and it is highlighted but nothing is happening to my blog posts block. It looks the same

I’ve taken a look and it looks like list view is set, and this is what list view would look like for this blog.
Are you looking to remove the excerpt and the other details?

oh, okay. I thought the list view would a little list on the right side. Thanks for clarifying that. No, the exerpt and other details are fine. I also thought there would be an image.

Hi there,
To have an image show in that view (the blog post list view with excerpt) you will want to add a “featured image” to each of your blog posts.
This is a setting within the blog post that will allow you to set a “thumbnail” for that specific post. https://wordpress.com/support/featured-images/
If you add featured images to your blog posts they should show up in that list view automatically.
