Listing in fastest-growing blogs etc.

Hi,
I had noticed when I started my blog four months ago that almost all of my posts appeared on the Top Posts List (in my chosen language – Serbian) and frequently on Fastest Growing Blogs, without me doing anything about it. Now this has reversed. I am still doing nothing, but my posts almost never appear on that list. The number of visitors couldn’t have been what drove the posts there, since there were very few then just as there are now.
Could someone explain this, please?

Pretty sure that staff will not release exactly how your blog gets into these lists so that no one can “game” the system, but it might have been some ratio of posts to visitors or visitors to time or something that got you in there. It is not something they will explicitly tell you though, but it wouldn’t have changed due to something you did or didn’t do.

I didn’t necessarily need an explanation of how it works as much as some kind of understanding. I think that it is a great way to bring unfamiliar blogs to the readers, and it suprised me when I came across it. However, now that my blog almost never appears there, I am quite puzzled.In any case, thanks again.
