LIsting pages in the order I want them
-
I added a new page. It shows up now as the first thing after “home” in the list of page titles across the top, under the header. I want it to be last. I tried moving it using the “menus” function but nothing happened. I moved it to last place where I want it. Is this list of pages not a menu?

Hi! You said you tried the custom menus option to arrange your list of pages the way you wanted them. Did you also set that custom menu to be the default menu for the site?
You can do that in the manage menus section. Here’s a link to the section of the menus guide that explains that part. https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#managing-your-menus

Also make sure, if you use a custom menu, that you don’t have a page order set under the Page Attributes module of the page editor. If you have a page order set there and then try to re-order pages in a custom menu it can cause unexpected results.
Here’s another helpful tutorial on custom menus, in addition to the official support doc @stothek provided: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/
