Listings not showing in parent categories

Hi, I’m building a classified directory using the HivePress/ListingHive theme.
All listings are in child categories which feed into one of four parent categories. For example ‘clothing & accessories’ (parent) > ‘skirts & dresses’ (child).
My home page has four buttons, signposting the parent categories, however when you open up the clothing & accessories category for example there are no listings, even though there are dozens of listings in the child categories.
I must be missing something as counting child items within the parent category is surely pretty standard? I’ve tried with different themes and disabled plugins, so this does seem to be a wordpress issue.
Am I missing a very simple fix?! Or if not could you suggest a plugin which may fix this?

I have verified that your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. In this case, you use the self-hosted version, the software of which is available on WordPress.org.WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites are different. Check it out: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org
This forum is only focused on sites hosted on WordPress.com.
You can contact your host directly to get help with your issue.

As @julinedossantos1 correctly mentioned, your site is currently not hosted with us, but is with Namecheap. I can confirm this means that we are not able to help here in the WordPress.com forums since we only have access to sites that we host directly.
That said, I did check the https://re-bambino.co.uk/listing-category/dresses-skirts-clothing-accessories/ and was able to see one listing there. Possibly you are experiencing a local issue of some kind?
