Little Traffic Please Help

    I’ve been blogging steadily for three months. The most traffic I have gotten in a day is 31 visits in a day. I’ve submitted my url to almost all of the catalogs but have gotten very little traffic. I also have my own domain name. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    What is your site?

    Is it a WordPress.com or .org site?

    Search engine indexing takes long especially for google up to 6 months. Traffic increase is made up of four elements (in my humble opinion.
    1.Search engines ….try submitting your URL to alphainventions.com
    2.Social Media (Feacebook, Twitter)
    3.Content (how relevant is what you write about?)
    4.Building community (participating in forums for example)

    As you can see you are concentrating on only 25% of the possibilities. With blogging, you juggle many balls at the same time. I find it helpful to make a schedule for all 4 areas and tacle a bit at a time each day. The Gods of Facebook have been kind to me lately. I find that my contacts are starting to read what I have to say, and are passing my URL on to friends. No contacts on Facebook yet? Try this simple networking idea.

    In the sidebar menu look for “people you may know” section. These are people that share a friend in common with you. I personaly prefer not to refer to anyone, as this may create issues for your own friends. Pick Add as friend…and here is the important part…do a personal message. Keep it simple…. Hi my name is Edina. We haven’t been formaly introduced, so I thought I’d say hi. I write a free resource blog for entrepreneurs than gives WebMarketingTips and Funding Sources.
    Feedcak is always appreciated. (tell them what you offer, and a call for action…Feedback)

    Note of caution. Don’t over do it, because you will be spam, and we are not talking about the lunch meat :). Also keep in touch with people you connect to by writing on their wall periodacily.
