live blogging

I am trying to figure out how to set up a live blog on my WP site – lots of short posts, in real time, from multiple contributors. I am prepared to change to a “.org” account if necessary.

Is there an easier way than embedding CoverItLive or liveblog24?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Jason,

You can invite users to post on your site via this support guide:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

Once the users have been added they will have their own accounts and ability to post on your blog (given the user role you invited them to be).

You can also download the WordPress mobile app so that you can blog from your mobile device:

    Mobile

You can post at any time.

If you want to use the 24liveblog plugin, you would have to move to WordPress.org.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Thanks. So now I have (1) created an account with a hosting co., and (2) exported my __.com WP site, and (3) installed WP at my new self-hosted site.

BUT – how do I get to my NEW WP.org dashboard, in order to import the site to the new site?

When I try to log in at the wp-admin, I get taken to the dashboard for the old “.com” site.

    Hi Jason,

It looks like the name servers are still set to us at WordPress.com. Please update it to your new host.

You will have to contact your domain’s registrar to do this. It looks like your registrar is Register.com as seen here:
