  I would love the possibility of a Live Chat plugin. As I am creating a private blog for a classroom group- I would love us to be able to have Live Chat discussions with each other on the different topics.

  It also has been confusing that WordPress.org offers the Live Chat plug in, but I’d rather not start from scratch and have to go through .org as opposed to .com..

  Whose with me?!? :)

  The only chat widget we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs is this one. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/tlk-io-widget/

  For your WordPress.COM blog you also have three free workaround forum options: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/04/23/wordpress-com-forum-options/
  One approach is to register a forum on the internet and then create a custom menu in your blog and include a custom link to the forum in it.
