Live Chat

I have 7 commercial wordpress.com and love the product. I reeeeallly need a live chat plug in for communicating with customers but that’s currently impossible in wordpress.com.
I would have thought that this is a simple and popular (in fact essential) feature.
Why can’t we have it? There’s tons of good chat plug ins out there. Can’t you guys add one that’s safe and efficient for us all to use?

We have a chatbox widget. The Tlk.io widget allows you to embed a web chat in your WordPress.COM hosted blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/tlk-io-widget/ There are no other chat options I know of that work on WordPress.COM blogs at this time.

At present there is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

One approach is to register a forum on the internet and then create a custom menu in your blog and include a custom link to the forum in it.

Hi Timethief and thanks for the reply – yes I tried that one but it’s more a of a mini chat room driven by facebook and not private, nor does it have any real features. I need a real live chat window.
