  Hi, what solution is available for addeing a live chat butto on my site? it is a standard WordPress blog site. I have no intention to host a site myself just for this functionality.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Unfortunately this option it’s not available for WordPress.com sites. Maybe you can find a third party app for live chat and put in your widget, so your visitors can contact you.

  So I need a third party app which can be added in a widget? Not yet realy clear to me but i will look into it.

  In your case you need look for a third party app for live chat and put the link to this app in your widget. Widgets are a WordPress.com feature.

  We have one option avaiable: you can use the tlk.io widget to embed a tlk.io chat box in your site’s sidebar. You can find the instructions to do that here:

  Hi txs, but I believe that’s an open chat function and visible to everybody. I need a private chat for sensitive discussions.

  There is no option for private chat on WordPress.com. The closest alternative we have is to set a page to password-protected and give the password only to the people you want to have access. Then you can use the comments area for discussion.
