Live data spreadsheets on WordPress

    Hi guys,

    I’m about to create a website that is stock market based and as such, will require live data updates. However, some of the numbers I’ll be featuring (such as certain ratios) are not present on websites or other plugins and must be calculated manually.

    I have a spreadsheet that does this automatically by sourcing data from websites and then refreshing. I know you can also intergrate excel files onto WordPress.

    But my question is – does this work for live data/automatically refreshing spreadsheets? For simple example, let’s say my spreadsheet automatically refreshes the price of a stock every 15 minutes. When integrated with WordPress, will the WP website also reflect the new changes when the spreadsheet refreshes?

    I hope this makes sense, I can explain in more detail.

    You can embed both Microsoft Excel (stored on OneDrive) and Google Sheets on any WordPress.com site:

    Embed From Google Docs

    If you want more advanced embedding features, a plugin might provide that kind of functionality. However, plugins are only available on the Business and eCommerce plans.

    Also, can you please let me know if you plan on using WordPress.com or host your site elsewhere (by using the WordPress.org software)?
