  Whenever I make a link live it doesn’t work. (Trying to add affiliate links to posts.) I paste the link into the correct box, click ‘update’ and it doesn’t work.
  I’ve tried doing it dozens of times and still nothing. I’ve added a plugin which doesn’t seem to work either.
  I’m kind of new at doing websites so I am probably making a rookie mistake. I’m sure it’s something so simple, but because my head is about to implode I can’t think clearly about it.
  Really do need some help. Thanks.

  Means

  The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

  Thanks for that.
  I just followed the links from the WP facebook support page and just assumed that I would get help doing that.
  I will try as you suggested.
