Liza needs site url help a.s.a.p.

I don’t see any other option but to delete my free wordpress url and its contents, as my godaddy hosted wordpress website shares the same url. However the seo on the free wordpress url ranks higher up on google at the moment than my godaddy hosted wordpress site. However, my godaddy hosted wordpress site works fine whilst the free wordpress url which shares the same url/name (whilst ranking quite high on google) shows a nasty little page/category which comes up and reads “Nothing Found”, which is actually b.s because the site is still there, yet that’s the first thing that flashes up on the screen when I click on the free wordpress url which comes up on google. Should I just delete the free wordpress url and contents? (Or am I answering myself within that question. )? Finally, post this to whom??- Tech support please!!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Are you forwarding and masking?

Buy the site redirect for one year to send all referrals to your new site – that will also teach search engines that you have moved – if you don’t want to spend the $ 13.- – then put a note on ://lizadawn.wordpress.com/ that you have moved

Having the site live actually speeds up search engines revising their search results

Site Redirect – Easily redirect your blogname.wordpress.com blog, and all of its permalinks, to your new domain, if you decide to leave WordPress.com. This upgrade costs $13.00 per blog, per year.

Hey guys, thank you for your good advice. LizaDawn.com needs to move up on the google first page more. Does anyone have any extra tips on this?

    Kind regards, Liza.

You need to publish posts not pages frequently. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ It takes weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL. What attracts search engines is unique content in posts ie. original content that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Start now publishing original content posts frequently two or even three times weekly. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/

The rule of thumb is to assign the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the post content. For tips on tagging see > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/03/15/quick-blog-post-tagging-tips/

To verify blog ownership of a WordPress.com blog with the major search engines you must use this process > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.

Note also that WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps for our blogs to search engines – we do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines

Since you have moved to a WordPress.ORG install the part above about Site Map & Register with Search engines will not apply

The other info should. @timethief’s blog has a ton of info on how to search better, as does this forum

I looked at your blog and could not find anything but one picture of your eyes, nice eyes but search engines don’t really care, you need to put something in your site that a search engine can latch onto and index – like some Posts
