Load Problem

    Hey,

I have been having a problem accessing my blog at times (not always). I thought it was my computer, but it’s happening on this one too. I will type in http://www.greenamily.com or if I am on a post and click on the header to go back to home and it just sits there…with a long “waiting on” down on the status bar below. I can’t copy and paste it will not let me, but it’s long and it just keeps blinking with the long status line and the status bar does not move. Within it says remote-login.php?action=auth&host=greenamily then lots of numbers and symbols. Ideas?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your posts all have large images in them and that’s why the blog is taking so long to load. You can reduce the number of posts appearing on the front page of the blog here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most __ posts
Enter a lower number and click “save changes”
You can also split the text in your posts prior to the image display by inserting “the more tag” into the posts and this will also speed up page loading time. What your visitors will see is the beginning text followed by a link they can click to read the whole post on it’s own page.

    1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. It sounds like there could be a problem with your ISP. Can you access any of these directly?

Please try updating your Internet Explorer 8 browser to IE9. http://browsehappy.com/ If you are running Windows XP and cannot do that then try downloading Firefox 9.
