I am finding it difficult to sometimes load the webpage for my blog or even the dashboard. The error I get is
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data. This also happens while I am logged on to the wordpress site as admin. Further, the same problem persists at home and also at office.
Please help!

Can you please try clearing out your cache? Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?
-
Yes I had cleared the cache on Chrome yesterday. That was on my laptop at home. I was facing the same problem even after that. Also, the same problem existed on the office workstation (w/o clearing cache).
I have recently updated to a new theme – Ari theme. Just mentioning, for the record, just in case that could be a source of the problem. -
Does this only happens to your blog? or also to other blogs on WordPress.com? (try the front page to see if you can visit other blogs). Otherwise try to flush your DNS cache.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

It happens on other blogs too. I have flushed the DNS cache. But still I am getting that problem.

Ok so one thing I noticed is that my site (both dashboard and sometimes the blog) are turning up in unsecure connection. By which I mean the url shows a ‘striked-out https in red font. This is happening in spite of me having enabled ‘https’ usage in the settings.

The crossed out https is actually quite normal. Rather, it’s a misguided warning more than anything.
When you connect to your Dashboard over an HTTPS connection, we use an SSL certificate to encrypt your connection. SSL certificates need to be signed to a specific domain, and we can’t provide certificates for every mapped domain, so our certificate is signed for WordPress.com.
When you connect to your Dashboard via your own domain but your security software sees a certificate signed to http://wordpress.com/ it’s altering you that WordPress.com may be intercepting your connection, which of course is perfectly fine.
Most security systems like this should have a way to add a permanent exception so you will never see the warning again in this instance.
Regarding the other error, would you please make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled? http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

Would you please try adding a permanent except for the WordPress.com certificate? Some browsers allow you to do this by clicking the crossed out https bit. If your doesn’t I recommend checking your browser’s support documentation.
