loading wheel Catch 22

The default loading wheel loads very slowly at the site above.

All programmers are male and they always suggested I use less or smaller pictures but I do not want that because I want to …Dzing… SEE THE BIG PICTURE. Apparently, the big pictures are not in itself the problem.

Recently I discovered that the loading wheel was the only reason why the site loading time was very slow. I discovered this by giving the loading wheel a transparent background so that all the content appeared to already be there, whereas I have been waiting for ages to get some content when the loading wheel had a grey background that overlayed the already there in hiding content. I have been waiting for what was there already but greyed out only to portray this stupid wheel.

I think there is some dependency that the loading wheel only disappears when every content is loaded while at the same time images are deliberately not loaded fully right away to speed things up.
This way to speed things up can cost an infinity. The loading wheel is waiting for something that is waiting for the loading wheel.

My first instinct is to quickly fix everything by trashing the loading wheel forever and ever in a deep black hollow put. Whatever the cost. It actually also costs me because I have an unrealistic loading time as a consequence, while the content loads quickly, Robotic google like bots think my site takes ages to load. Not the site! Only the wheely thingie.

But like in love it takes a little understanding. May be someone who knows how the loading wheel is programmed, can save this pretty useless and disfunctional wheely thingie from my instant hatred.

    Thanks for reaching out!

Your site aanbestedingsnieuws.nl is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org ) but hosted with AXC.

We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.

If you want to check to see what is impacting your site loading times, you can use a tool like Pingdom’s site checker to see what elements are causing the majority of your loading times and analyze how you can make changes.

You can also reach out to your hosting provider to see if your current hosting server is sufficient to operate and load your site.

If you still have trouble, please reach out to the WordPress community for guidance:

    I hope that helps!
