Loadstar: Editing Home Page template

    The instructions for Loadstar mention all sorts of things that are no longer enabled in WP: Appearance -> Editor, for example. Is Loadstar not useable in the current version of WP?

    Hi there!

    Thanks for getting in touch. Since Lodestar is one of our older themes, it may not be fully compatible with our block editor, or our newer template editor which is the option you can find under Appearance > Editor.

    What were you looking to edit or add to your home page exactly? Let us know, and we’ll be happy to take a look and offer some guidance :)

    Like so many others (I’m sure) I was just looking for a theme that I could change the text and the images and move on. I don’t have the time to mess with the creation of new pages (I’m not a designer; I don’t know what fonts go well with others, what color scheme to use, etc.) so I will just have to wait until I have time to look for another theme that is compatible with the latest version of WP.

    Like so many others (I’m sure) I was just looking for a theme that I could change the text and the images and move on.

    You can do that with all the themes on our theme gallery. I recommend checking out the newer themes at https://wordpress.com/themes/free – nearly every theme listed on the first page is compatible with the updated WordPress, so you can choose one you like, activate it, and then edit the content.
