Local Host Refused to connect

I’m very amateur with WordPress, but I’ve been using it to build a website for my company. All of a sudden today, the URL, localhost:8080, stopped working. Instead of bringing me to the login page, it says local host refused to connect. Desperately need to fix this. Any help appreciated.

Hello there, I’m guessing that you have the open source WordPress software (WordPress.org) installed on your computer. If that’s the case, you may want to check if your web server (usually is Apache) is started and running.
Anyway, the best place to seek help for WordPress software is the WordPress.org forum and seek help from the experts and volunteer members there. You may need to register an account if you don’t already have one.
