local swever vs. hosting server

    I installed WordPress locally on my computer using BitNami WordPress Stack and used Fantastico Deluxe to install WordPress on my hosting server. The idea was to make changes and view them instantly and then upload theme to my hosting server. However the theme viewed on my hosting server is not the same as viewed on my local computer. Any one know why??
