Locating Control Panel/Plug-In section in WordPress

  Hi,

  I am trying to locate the Control Panel here in WordPress, so I can download Akismet. But, in order to do that , I need to locate the Plug-In section. Any idea where I can find it? Do I locate it in WordPress.com or in WordPress.org? Please help.

  We do not have a plugin section here at wordpress.COM since we are not allowed to install plugins.

  Self-hosted blogs have a plugin section. If your blog is self-hosted, then you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/suppport/. You will need the API key from your username account here at .COM to activate the plugin on your self-hosted blog. It can be found by going to “my profile” in your account here. It’s at the top.

  If you are hosted here at wordpress.COM, then you already have akismet on your blog.
