Locating pictures and hot links correctly
-
Hi,
Having uploaded pictures I experience problems.. I would expect the picture(s) to go to where the cursor has been placed. What is happening the picture(s) is inserted at the top of the post. Then it has to be dragged to the correct location in the postpage.. I am experiencing exactly the same problem when attempting to insert (named) links.. I have cleared the cache and cookies but there appears to be the same problem..Tony

(1) How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.
(2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

Hi,
Thanks for the the informative reply.. The connection to the Internet is a standard DSL connection via my laptop and router.. The version of Explorer is version 9. I am find this so frustrating and have not come up with a working solution. -
Thinking laterally and following along the lines suggested I have just installed Firefox. My immediate problems have now been solved. It occurred to me that these problems only started to appear after I had upgraded to IE9 !! Now I’ll be tackling Microsoft to see what’s happened in their coding !!
