Locked myself out
-
Hello,
it seems i locked myself out of my own website and cant regain access. I registered with wordpress a year ago, using my private email adress. A few months later, I started my actual blog urhaus.net but had to use a different email adress because i had used my private one for the account i opened before (but never used and therefore forgot the password etc). Now i wanted to change my email at urhaus.net to my private email adress. As it was already in use, i had to delete the first, unused account. Somehow though, my user name and details at urhaus.net seem to have been linked to that profile or account i deleted after all, as i am now unable to create new blogposts or even get to the dashboard. Please help, i really dont know how to regain access. I coudnt even log into the support forum as none of my usernames is registered anymore. -

Hi there,
To regain access to the other account you will need to submit our Account Recovery form, providing one of the forms of verification to prove that you are the owner. The transaction number on the receipt for when you bought the domain can be used for that purpose.
Once you submit the form someone will contact you at the email address you specify to help you get back into the account.

Hello again. Thanks for your advice. I repeatedly tried to regain access via the lost password section and by typing in the transaction numbers of my receipts. Unfortunately I keep receiving the notification that that transaction number isnt known. I believe i must have deleted my account or profile and thats why nothing seems to work. at the same time, i keep getting notifications that my domain is due to renewal and will expire in less than a month so I really want to ressolve the issue. Is there anyone i can get in touch with and pass on my transaction numbers without using the Account Recovery form?
I Know this is a tricky situation, so thanks in advance for your time!
Kind regards

What transaction number are you using? It shouldn’t be the reference number that appears on your credit card statement, but the 17-character PayPal transaction number that appears on the receipt we sent when you paid for the domain. This number typically contains both letters and digits.
If you don’t have the receipts any more, you can also obtain that number directly from PayPal. You’ll need to provide them with the date and amount of the last payment you made to us, as well as details regarding the card you used to pay. You can find more instructions here:
Retrieving a PayPal Transaction ID
If you are using a number like this, let me know and we can see what can be done.
