Locked myself out.

I’m trying to import a new site. I SFTPed the WP files, and that went great. I then Imported the SQL, and now I’m being told I do not have permission to look at the plugins. Is there an easy fix to restore access? If not, is there an easy way to delete everything and get the account back to a default state and restart this process and hopefully do it right this time?

Hi! I’m taking a look to see if I can see what’s wrong. FYI, though, you should be able to reach chat support here, which can be a lot faster:
https://wordpress.com/help/contactYou might reach out there right now if you can.

HI
@versiumops this may be a case where restoring from a backup would be best. You can access your backups from this page: https://wordpress.com/activity-log/versiumcom.wpcomstaging.com
You can follow our guide here for restoring from backup, and you will want to pick the one that represents the timeframe where your site was last working correctly: https://wordpress.com/support/restore/#restoring-from-a-backup
This will undo any of the changes you made and allow you to reassess and try again.

Generally speaking, performing a manual migration of source files and SQL database is a very advanced way to move a WordPress site, and typically something that requires developer-level skill. WordPress.com Happiness Engineers are not here to assist you with creating, modifying, or running database commands. We go into this in more detail here: https://wordpress.com/support/phpmyadmin-and-mysql/#before-beginning
With that in mind I’m wondering if there is not another way to perform this migration? Is your source site online and something that we are able to visit? If you have the option to use our migration plugin, it will help ensure the smoothest and most trouble-free migration possible: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcom-migration/
Thanks for the additional info!

Hi, @versiumops!
You are now able to manage your WordPress.com site as expected. There were a few things that needed to be modified for everything to work correctly.
For example, WordPress.com symlinks the WordPress core files, but your migration had those files in the root folder. These have been now moved to a folder called
old, so they would not interfere how we load WordPress core files.I have also made sure that the Jetpack connection on the site is properly working, so you are able to access and perform all the actions as expected on all the pages in the administration area.
