  none of our administrators can log in to wordpress after we had a problem with some sort of attack last week when loads of contacts kept appearing

  The site linked to your wordpress.COM username is devoid of any blogger created content.

  What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?

  I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting. And, that is why we are all prompted to provide the relevant URL when we create a new thread.

  We’ve tried resetting passwords and when it sends a link and we click it we go to a screen that says the link is invalid. I’m not very “techy” and I’m just lost as to how we get access back

  We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites and that one is not among them. Our support docs do not apply to (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
