I used to have a link on my wordpress homepage that I’d click and gain access so as to add to blog pages, adjust the various pages, see stats, etc. That’s now disappeared. I forgot how to log in and save my ability to manipulate the site. Please instruct.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is the Admin link http://howardschwartz.wordpress.com//wp-admin/ to your dashboard. Hopefully, that will be helpful. If it isn’t, then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

It sounds like you’re referring to the meta widget that used to be activated by default on all WordPress.com sites. That widget was retired over two years ago.
But if you view your site while logged out you can log in and access the My Sites dashboard via the action bar that appears bottom-right on your site:
