Yesterday morning I bought plugin Akismet to deal with my problem with spam and protect my wordpress site. I was logged into my wordpress site at the time but must have gone out of the site as I had to log in again. I was unable to.
I put in a new name and password thinking it was just a change. I often change passwords, as advised.
However, I think I inadvertently signed up a new wordpress account and now I can’t get back into my original wordpress account that I’ve used it for years.
Could anyone help help me either (1) reactivate my previously existing wordpress account, get rid of the new wordpress account and link akismet to my account; or (2) migrate my old wordpress to this new wordpress account.
Whichever is easier. It doesn’t matter to me which wordpress account I use – my older one or this new one – provided all my material and akismet is together.

I replied to you in this thread and I see you have contacted Akismet support since.
Someone from the Akismet support team replied a couple of hours ago so please check your inbox and follow up there :) It would be worth checking the spam folder if you can’t see our reply in your inbox yet.
