locked out of account

    Hello, I work at a website developing company and I’m trying to help out a friend of mine to gain access to a wordpress account that another company had setup for them but then went out of business. For some reason my friends login info no longer works but website is still active and functional from a customer viewpoint. They were wanting to gain access to it again to make some product changes. All of the domainname.com whoswho info is in their name but they just can’t seem to access the wordpress part. Can you help with this? We’ve tried everything to contact the people who set this up originally for them but they are unreachable.     No. We cannot help with that here at WordPress.COM. That site is not on our servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum. You need to post to wordpress.ORG support.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, and many people get confused about the two.
