Locked out of account

Here’s my situation. A web developer built our site who we are no longer working with and he was the only one with a login and information. He says that accessed the backend of the site through 1&1 but built it on WordPress. He told me that he doesn’t have a login for WordPress or any receipts from WordPress and so he can’t give me access. I’m assuming you can’t just grant me access because of security reasons, but is there some way you can tell me the username or email of the administrator on the site? Website is http://www.standardfencecompany.com/.

There are two types of WordPress. WordPress.com (where you are now) is a place where sites are hosted such as https://boobsandbreweries.wordpress.com/
Your other site will be using the WordPress.org software and isn’t hosted here. It is hosted by 1&1.He says that accessed the backend of the site through 1&1 but built it on WordPress.
So your developer can provide you with the log in details you need to input either via 1&1 or at http://www.standardfencecompany.com/wp-login.php
Otherwise you’ll need to approach 1&1 for further assistance.
