Locked out of account, password & user name not working

    Hi there,
    I decided to move my hosting and domain name from Crazy Domain to iPage, and since then, I am unable to log into my wordpress account.
    I use a password manager, so I know my password and user name is correct, yet I cannot log in at all. I tried multiple email & password combination, but never received the password reset email.
    My website is http://www.polkarocks.com
    it currently says: This site is under development

    This page indicates the webmaster has not uploaded a website to the server.

    For information on how to build or upload a site, please visit your web hosting company’s site.

    Ive had to create a new WP account simply to be able to post on this forum, I am completely locked out, anyone can help please? I’m a super rookie so dumbed down explanations most welcome!

    Hi,

    From what I can figure, your website didn’t migrate at all from Crazy Domain to iPage, and isn’t running WordPress.org at the moment. If it were, you would be able to access the WordPress.org login page at http://www.polkarocks.com/wp-login.php (the page doesn’t exist at present).

    Please contact your current host (iPage), and they should be able to help you migrate your site from Crazy Domain (perhaps for a migration fee).

    I am also assuming you didn’t have a WordPress.com account before, so you had to create one for posting on this forum. WordPress.com is different in many ways from WordPress.org (which powers your website). You can read more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    You will need to create a separate account there, if you don’t have one. :)
