Locked out of admin console for WordPress website.

  I was modifying my WordPress website .htaccess file. I was attempting to redirect the site to a new domain name, and none of the redirect plugins were working. However, I made a error, typing ‘.com’ instead of ‘.org’ for the new domain name. Now I can’t even get to the admin console for my website, using http://www./wp-admin. EVERY attempt to do so, whether directly typing it in the browser bar or clicking on a search hit, redirects me to the non-existent website. In short, I can’t access my website or the admin console for it. WordPress has been unresponsive to my inquiries – other than telling me to post my question to a forum. Can somebody help?
