Locked out of Blog

My phone had to be reset which deleted all of my applications, including google authenticator. As a result, I can’t generate a code and I’m locked out of my blog! I had to create this account just to post on this forum!

Not a clue on this one – but I have flagged this for the staff to help – I hope they thought of a reset phone in their development cycle

I have the same problem. I had to reset my android phone and re-install Authenticator so have lost the app settings for my blog, which is http://avrolancs.wordpress.com.
I cannot generate the right code to log in and update it and the back up codes i printed off are not being recognised. As i cannot log into admin i cannot generate a new barcode to scan or a new set of back up codes.This is supposed to be the blog for my Model Club, a point of reference for our members but it is now dead in the water. As this is a free blog i can get no support from those wiseheads at WordPress who would be able to resolve this, I have had to create another blog account just to post this!
Well done to the developer who never thought of this ever happening! I have to say i am well hacked off with 2-step verification. I don`t believe this 2-step verification should be available to those on free blogs as they have no access to customer support at wordpress if anything goes wrong.

I’m just really worried I won’t be able to get back into my blog! Does the staff help people who pay only? Do we not have any access to customer support?

Maybe I am completely missing it, but where is this “contact form”? I’ve looked at everything on the link, but it just sends me in circles. I just need a code to access my account attached to the email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
If a staff member could please help I would greatly appreciate it!

It appears Staff have disabled that contact link yet again. Not to worry as auxclass already tagged this thread for Staff support. Please be patient while waiting.

Thank-you for your help!! I didn’t mean to sound impatient, I would just like to have access to my blog again and it makes me antsy. It’s my own fault for activating the two-step process and not properly storing the back-up codes! I have definitely learned my lesson.

Staff work their way forward through support tickets and support threads from those with the earliest date stamps forward to those with the most recent ones. Note that it’s the weekend.
