Locked out of both WordPress account and original email used to register.

    Greetings,

I have had to make this new account to seek support for an existing wordpress.com account as the normal support lines are only available through being logged in.

Our website URL is: “Limberlostforest.com” ; because it is not associated with this freshly made WP account this form will not let me use that site address as the topic of this forum post.

We are locked out of our WordPress account and the email address originally used to create that website 10+ years ago ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) is not an actual email address so all recovery emails are inaccessible.

We are a Pro plan subscriber for many years now, set to autorenewal and being charged directly to the same credit card. Any receipts would have been sent to that email that I previously explained is not a real email and is therefore inaccessible.

    I have:

    1. A printed invoice from 2023 showing Invoice #***** in its entirety. This document does *NOT* have a receipt or transaction ID.
It is made out to: “limberlosttestsite *******”
    2. Copies of credit card statements from this year showing our WordPress payment on March 2025, showing the date, amount, last 4 digits of credit card, etc.
    3. The full credit card information used for all of our account payments which I can provide when requested.

I can pull more years credit card statements if required to reinforce my proof.

Any help with this matter from WP staff is greatly appreciated.

The goal will be to change the email associated with this account to our main business email “(email visible only to moderators and staff)”. So that we no longer have any issues in future.

      Thank you.

    Update;

I now have an additional invoice from April 15 2022 that has both a Receipt and Transaction ID but the WordPress Account Recovery online form does no consider either of those ID numbers as valid so they will not submit. Great.

Still looking for any assistance on this matter, I have found some older mentions of support email addresses from WordPress and have forwarded this thread to those in case they are still actively monitored.

Still waiting on a human response, thank you.

Are you sure you didn’t write the password down somewhere? It seems your username is likely limberlosttestsite as the underlying site appears to be limberlosttestsite.wordpress.com.

Yes I have what was our current password recorded and I have attempted to login multiple times using both the username configuration of our account and the email configuration.

This whole issue started when we got a notification that WordPress itself had reset our password due to some reason or another. I don’t recall the specific verbiage as I didn’t think much of it because like so many other digital accounts resetting and changing a password is quick and easy, and many accounts will reset passwords periodically for security.

Its only when I went to go do the password change that I discovered this issue with a non-existing email address.

So I am stuck in a catch-22 where in order to access the support line that we pay for I need to be logged into the account, but I cant log into the account because our existing password has been reset by WP, and I cant access the emails used to reset a password because the email is invalid.

And because my invoices are older I cant use their Account Reset Form as the invoice formatting has changed so they don’t recognize my receipt IDs. I need to be logged into the account to access the newer invoices….

Could you by any change ping a staff member? I have tons of proof showing my connection to the account in question but I cant get through to actually have anyone to show it to. Our whole business runs off this site so its pretty critical we get back in. thanks
