Locked out of domain/ can’t transfer

    Website saying ‘Deleted’ with only option to ‘Restore’ upon unsuccessful domain transfer. Basically locked out of site.

    It appears that your domain registration expired on January 30, 2024, entering the redemption period. You can find more information about the redemption period here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period.

    During this period, we can attempt to recover the domain with payment of the regular registration fee along with an $80 redemption fee. However, in this case, the domain completed the redemption period, and it was added back to the pool of available domains for purchase. Unfortunately, we do not receive advance notice of this process, nor are we notified by the domain registrar when it occurs. As a result, it seems that someone else purchased the domain when it became available again, and they now own it.

    I suggest contacting Hostinger since your site is still hosted on their servers, even though it’s not functioning with the domain since it’s no longer under your ownership. They can assist you in selecting a new domain and redirecting it to your site installation.
