Locked out of my administrator dashboard trying to change site URL
-
Bah! I wrecked my blog! I was trying to change to a new URL and typed the new URL in the Settings – General by typing the new URL in place of the old one and selecting Save Settings. I got this warning: Warning: is_writable() [function.is-writable]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/nfs:/tmp:/usr/local:/etc/apache2/gs-bin) in /nfs/c09/h04/mnt/140509/domains/explorationsunlimited.com/html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 133
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /nfs/c09/h04/mnt/140509/domains/explorationsunlimited.com/html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php:133) in /nfs/c09/h04/mnt/140509/domains/explorationsunlimited.com/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 866
So I clicked the back button and then retyped the former URL trying to undo what I had done. At that point, upon selecting save settings I received this error message: Not Found
The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.9 Server at diveexplorationsunlimited.com Port 80And now I can no longer sign in to the adminstrator and my site is up, but no longer formatted: http://explorationsunlimited.com/#content
This is a very simple site, I don’t mind rebuilding it, however I need to get access again to the dashboard and the URL to fix my mistake. Thanks and SORRY!

That site is self-hosted and you need to head over to the WordPress.org forums as that is where the software you are using is supported.
These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM hosting service and things here work differently.
If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document.
