Locked Out of My Original Account
-
I haven’t logged into WordPress for a few years so I don’t recall setting up two factor authentication, nor did I purchase anything so I have no transaction ID. When I attempt to enter my email address (I was getting notifications of new followers on my gmail account but there’s been no activity since 2018), I’m told the email address is not related to my WordPress account. I have no other proof except that I have another blog under the same account, that is also inactive, entitled, The Literary Heart. I can offer screenshots of emails showing when followers were noted, but I have nothing else. I do own the domain names and I can send a screenshot from GoDaddy that shows ownership, if that helps at all. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to show proof of ownership. Thank you.

Hi there!
Can you let us know the URL of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thank you!

Hi there!
Thanks for sharing the site address! It looks like instead of adding a domain connection, you set up some sort of redirection/forwarding from your domain registrar Google. We have found the WordPress.com account you’re trying to access, though.
However, we are unable to help with account recovery in this forum. Please send an email to
passwordhelp@wordpress.comwith all the details, and our team can help you with this via email.Regards

Thank you. I will do that but I’m not entirely sure I was clear regarding the issue. I still have my old username and password but WordPress won’t let me log in. I know I had the domain name forwarded so I wasn’t asking about domain issues, more about getting to the WordPress dashboard for my sites.
I will write the recommended email, though. Thank you again.
