Locked out of my own URL
-
I deleted my blog ‘lonelygadfly.wordpress.com'(in an effort to edit the URL since there presently is no option for that in your settings) and so I am now trying to create it again with the same domain, only it won’t let me.
I found this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ and read the terms. However, I am the original creator of the URL and the system still won’t let me have the domain. This is all a bit frustrating, but I thank you for your time. I hope the blog isn’t completely lost to the ether. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. I’m afraid that URL, and any content that was on it, is gone forever. That’s why there are so many warning messages before blogs can be deleted. Sorry I can’t give you better news.
For future reference, the instructions to change your address can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

Thanks so much for responding. Wish I’d heeded those warnings, though I don’t recall seeing any regarding the URL policy. Oh well. Thanks again though.
