Locked out of my wordpress admin / site down

    Hi everyone,

    I did a stupid thing. I have a wordpress site. It suggested that I switch it to https. I tried to do that in the general settings by changing the website link to https instead of http. (I didn’t know what to do!).

    Now, when I try to access the site (either the main page or my admin site), I just get the webpage from my hosting provider (goneo). Basically I can’t even get back in to fix the error :(

    Is there anything I can do?

    Update: we fixed it. Had to fix it directly in the database. So… I guess don’t do what I did…

    Thanks for letting us know you figured it out.

    Just for future reference, your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.

    For your version of WordPress, you can ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead when needed:
