Locked out of my WordPress.com Account

  Hello WordPress,

  I’m locked out of my (other) WordPress.com account.

  I have 2 Step Authentication switched on.
  My phone number was deactivated by the network provider. (I moved countries)
  My phone with Google Authenticator has been lost.
  I don’t have any backup codes. (doh!)

  Please, how do I recover my account?

  I emailed support@wordpress.com and I received an automated email telling me to post here.

  Do WordPress moderators patrol this forum offering help & support or am I counting on the kindness of strangers?

  I ordered a replacement SIM card from my phone network provider.

  I managed to gain access to my WordPress.com account using the SMS recovery code option.

  I turned 2-Step Authentication off.

  Phew!

  !!! RESOLVED !!!
