locked out of my wordpress site
-
Hi, I can’t remember what email address was associated with my wordpress site. And each one i try doesn’t work. I want to remove my wordpress site as it is no longer in use. How do i do this? No one is available to answer these questions…can’t contact wordpress…very annoying

If you cannot remember the login information for a WordPress.com account, your best bet is to try the account recovery process here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Due to the private nature of information required for account recovery and the public nature of these forums, we cannot help with account recovery here.

I tried that. but i must have set up my site with an address i can’t remember that i don’t use anymore and i literally cannot use that recovery feature. I don’t know what to do. Isn’t there someone at wordpress I can contact on the phone to solve this?

I’m afraid that there is nothing that can be done if you do not have any of the login or account recovery information. There is simply no way to prove that you are the account owner.
-
or, if wordpress could tell me the email associated with the site then i could recover it. I just have no idea what that old address was. i haven’t used the site in over 2 years

what about just letting me know the email associated with the site? that way i could recover the password from that email and then do the recovery process for the site? that wouldn’t allow anyone to access it who wasn’t the owner because they wouldn’t be able to recover the right password for that email

It’s MY ACCOUNT. it’s MY SITE. I have a right to the information. I could tell you anything you want to know about it. There has to be a way to do this. my photo is on it…i have a photo ID! my name is on it…i have a legal photo ID! I can verify my identity

seriously? no reply. This is unbelievable. WordPress has terrible customer service if this is the extent of help a person can get. There has to be a way to escalate this to someone who can help. I have no hope of ever getting back into my site that I created that has all of my original content without some help from WordPress. All i need is the email associated with the account. You can easily verify who I am because my name is on the site and I have photo ID. There has to be a way

Can you check something for me? I’m CERTAIN that I used (email visible only to moderators and staff) to create the account but when I log in under that login I have no access to the dashboard. Can you just verify if that is the correct email? If it is, then something has happened and I am locked out
-
Why don’t you make a comment on the blog? If you have set it to moderate comments it will send you an email asking you to approve it.
-
ok that was BRILLIANT but now i’ve confirmed what account and i’m logged in UNDER that account but i still can’t access my dashboard! What am i doing wrong??? it says “you have no site. would you like to create one?” so frustrating!

I have sent you an email to the address associated with the initial WordPress.com account that you posted on this thread from. Please let me know if you did not receive it.
-
i did not receive it yet. maybe it hasn’t come thru or i should check spam. i’ll go check
