Locked out of non-hosting account

Hello,
I’m trying to help someone make some updates to their WordPress site using a non-hosting account, but I’ve lost my password and I’m locked out of it. I’ve tried sending WordPress a password reset request multiple times but the reset email never shows up in my inbox, and yes, I’ve checked my spam folder. Based on what I’ve looked up online, it seems that the owner of the hosting account can manually send me a reset email, but unfortunately, he’s currently occupied and hard to contact right now, and these updates I need to do are somewhat urgent. Is there any way around this?
