Locked out of site email account

  Hi, I seem to be locked out of my email account, which has not been accessed for some time. Gmail asks for a phone number, in order to ‘verify that its really’ me, but I have not previously submitted any phone number to Gmail and do not wish to do so for privacy reasons. Is there any way WordPress can verify to Gmail that my email account is genuine, so that I may access it? (Note that if you reply to my gmail I will not be able to read the message!) Thanks
