Locked out of website after changing email address
-
Hi,
I recently changed the email address and password on my other wordpress website http://www.alkequartet.com and since then I have not been able to log into the account. It no longer recognises either email address or passwords though the site is still up. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks!

Hey there,
Do you still have access to the e-mail you changed to under your account?
If you still have access to the email connected to the account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery tool. Please check your spam folder for the recovery email if you don’t receive it in your inbox immediately:

Hi,
Thank you for replying!! Unfortunately I do not have access to the original email address as it was removed after I changed the email address on the login details. I have been checking the spam folders of my active email addresses and have not received anything.. any other suggestions?
Thanks.

So, you have access to the current e-mail you changed it to?
What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account so that you can see if you receive my message. All you would need to do is respond from that e-mail to verify ownership. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Yes, I changed it from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). I received a clink on the link below to confirm this change email and I did that but since then I have not be able to access my website. I have put the link below that WordPress originally sent me. Thanks for all of your help.
If this is correct, please click on the following link to change it:

It looks like you changed the e-mails back to where they were originally. I won’t disclose the e-mails in the forum, but from what I see, you changed the e-mails and then changed them back. Does that sound correct?
if you no longer have access to the original e-mail on the account, the best bet is to try and fill out our account recovery form.
Please visit our support page for more information on recovering your account.
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for all of your help.
I no longer have have access to the old email and I never changed it back again after changing it to the email address similar to the website address. I initially tried to go through the account recovery form but as I no longer have access to the old email I can not get hold of all the initial emails that were used to start up the website to begin with so it would not let me submit the form. All I have now is the email from when I changed it to the new email address that I pasted in the previous message.
Is there anything I can do to recover this website??
Thanks again for all of your help. -
We’ve followed up via private email, but in short, we can only give you an account if you prove it belongs to you.
Your best bet otherwise is to go ahead and create a new site. Cheers!
